“ I am a corned beef snob. I cooked corned beef so often I bought a meat slicer. My friend introduced me to Stage several months ago.I'm not cooking them anymore. (LOL) I have heard about them for years. I must say they have THE BEST CORNED BEEF IN MICHIGAN! I travel from the east side of Detroit several times a week to eat here. Their service is phenomenal. I usually sit in Isabelle area. I HAVE NOT met one rude staff member yet. With the climate of America today, they are happy and extremely courteous. Thanks to the entire staff from the kitchen to the wait staff.. Your attitude is what we need and the great food. God bless you all! ”
“ 5/5 As someone who grew up on the East Coast, there's so much to love about a place that embodies New York deli inspired Jewish pride! Been here twice so far and coincidentally had Lauren as my server each time. She's absolutely fantastic! I've enjoyed everything I've had here, but the Matzo ball soup is my favorite. Think Stage should rename this "Lotz a Matzo" (credit to my boyfriend for thinking of that) because the flavorful Matzo itself was the size of an island. Another crowd pleaser is their house dressing, a creamy garlic that you can pair with just about everything. I even dipped my Chicken Schnitzel into it and my goodness what a match made in heaven. Not pictured, but must add this is my boyfriend's favorite place to get pastrami sandwiches. Calling all my East coasters that have migrated to the Midwest - Pay this place a visit and you won't regret it! ”
“ Stage Deli is a great spot for lunch or dinner. I usually get the Malibu Salad or Ian’s Top Gun if a sandwich. I mostly take to go carry out, but I have eaten many times inside as well. It can get busy, but service is good. I seem to always think of ordering it on Monday and am then reminded that they’re closed. ”
“ Probably closer to 4.5 stars: Excellent service and atmosphere & generally satisfied with the food. Their specialty seems to be corned beef and pastrami - the sandwich was good, but could use more flavor imo. Ice coffee was pretty mild which I liked a lot but others may think of it as too watered down. Spacious & Loved the interior. Variety of dish to choose from. Appreciated the kid friendliness. It would be a perfect place for brunch if you are in the area. Def be my top choice for local brunch meetings. ”
“ August 2024 visit- if I could afford to eat here weekly, I would. We used to visit once a month, but the cost has become too much for us to afford that so we try to get here every 3-4 months- We’ve never had a bad meal. It’s one of the few places that has excellent service and the quality of the food is excellent. Yes, it is very pricey but I appreciate that for the price I get a high quality meal with great service. There aren’t very many restaurants that offer this. My husband and I split a corned beef with Swiss, grilled and the Maurice salad- 44 I swear years ago (10-15 years ago) they used to give you a much larger portion of corned beef than what they do now- I wish the salad was a bit larger portion and that they would remove all the core. We requested it chopped, but they didn’t seem to chop the lettuce as we found chunks of core. The bread from the basket was so fresh and delicious. Lauren was our waitress and she was great! Attentive without being annoying. ”
“ Super great food love the chicken livers. Chicken soup amazing. Burgers to die for. One of our favorite places in Michigan. ”
“ Wow, what a find! We met long lost friends here, a halfway meeting point between our homes. We met at 1pm Sunday. It was busy, but we got a window table right away. (Theres outdoor seating too). We were all super impressed with the extensive menu; something for everyone. Multiple soups and salads with European flair — matzo, borsch, to name a few. Many sandwiches, in addition to small plates, dinners, and yummy desserts. Two of us chose the Russian Rueben, one the Rueben, and the other a dinner plate of chicken livers with mashed potatoes and gravy (just like his grandmother used to prepare!). The food was terrific and the portions generous. I appreciate the choice of how much meat in the sandwich—regular and large, which is 3 Oz more, the availability of GF rye bread, good coffee, and a generous serving of slaw (enough for two!). Thank you. We will be back! ”
“ When you need authentic Jewish deli cuisine this is where you should go. Needed some catering for Passover and the gefilte fish stole the show. Platted it myself and everyone at the Seder table was happy! ”
